Again i felt the same way about this booklet and felt that the same layouts were being used over and over again and it was becoming boring for me to design to changes had to be made, again i used the same colours as the last one and that same ideas for the layouts of the spreads for what to include and improved the whole booklet.

For the rest of the booklets i carried on this style.

A History of//T1 generation

The VW type 2 T1 generation booklet:

After I kept going back to this booklet and looking at the layout of the the spreads and the overall look of the booklet i wasn't happy with it. It lacked something, it didn't interest me to look at and was quite bland with lots of white space, so i thought i needed to inject some colour and change the design of the spreads so they werent so straight forward and plain.

Using the two other colours add some colour to the spreads and make them my aesthetically pleasing, i chose the blue because most of the vehicles pictured are blue or around that colour (except this booklet!) and the light red/pink was chosen predominately to work with the blue.

A History of//Illustrations

For the different generation booklet, i wanted to have some sort of illustration amongst the DPS to show the different characteristics throughout each model and thought doing a illustration for this would be the best option. This also improved my illustrator skills a lot. Im not sure how i am going to incorporate them into the DPS yet but they will be used in some way.

VW T1

To start with i drew the outline of the vehicle, i did this in different sections to make up the detail within the vechicle and this made it easier to live paint it too.

After drawing the outer shape, i used the live paint tool to colour in the vehicle.

Finally adding the smaller details onto the side of the drawing to make it complete.

This model shown above is the transporter, which is the model that all the varying models were developed from, so creating the rest was easier because i could just adapt the initial drawing.
